Production Process of Architectural Woven Metal Mesh
Curious about the full manufacturing workflow of metal woven mesh, similar to textile loom weaving? The attached video displays the whole weaving procedure of pre-crimped metal wires via automatic and semi-manual looms.
First, a crimping machine shapes vertical warp wires and horizontal weft wires into fixed curved shapes with variable lengths. Warp threads are separately threaded through the loom’s heddles. The lifting frame shifts to form an interlacing gap for weft wires to pass through manually or mechanically. After weft wires are threaded through gaps, the loom’s reed compresses wefts tightly against warp crimps. The lifting frame resets repeatedly to form the standard over-and-under interwoven mesh texture.
